Cyell realizes substantial growth in sales

Despite the tough economic climate, Cyell realised a substantial growth in sales of an average of 18% in the sales season Summer 2010. Beachwear increased with 13% compared with last year and Intimates and Softwear with no less than 33%. “We have had a lot of interest during all international and national exhibitions, resulting in new customers and agents. Our beautiful collections were very well received. We are very pleased!” said Ella Wiersma, one of the founders of Cyell.
According to Wiersma, Cyell owes the positive numbers especially to the favourable price/quality relationship. “Despite the lack of trust in the economy our customers have strong faith in Cyell and they know what to expect from Cyell.” For nearly 15 years the Beachwear, Intimates, and Softwear collections are characterized by high quality, an original style and an excellent fit. “This year, we have extended our Softwear collection. All three collections are modern, colourful and stylish.” Other countries reacted positively to the new collections for the summer of 2010. For example, there are now two new agents in Spain and in Austria and Denmark the first agents have set up shop. There was also a large demand from the United Kingdom. All the more reason for Cyell to be present at the exhibition in Harrogate. “In spite of the growth of Cyell and in spite of the demand, we always try to stay selective. We remain critical of the shops that sell our products.”
